Opening Ceremony of Green Hydrogen Summit Oman Exhibition

Under the auspices of His Excellency Eng. Salim bin Nasser Al-Aufi, Minister of Energy and Minerals, the opening ceremony of the accompanying exhibition for the third edition of the Oman Green Hydrogen Summit is held from December 12th to 14th, 2023, at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Center. The Green Hydrogen Summit Omsn exhibition features distinguished participation on the local and international level, with more than 40 local and global companies such as Hydrom, OQ, PTTEP, IEA, Asyad, Bloomberg, NEOM, Nasdaq, CNN, BMW, Vulcan Steel, Engie, BP, CNBC, Alshahrq with Bloomberg, and others.

These companies will showcase the latest projects and modern technologies aimed at accelerating the pace of energy transition and promoting sustainable energy solutions. The exhibition will also highlight the latest technologies in the clean energy industry, ensuring energy security and preserving the rights of future generations in natural resources, ultimately achieving the zero-emission plan by 2050.

Commenting on the opening ceremony, His Excellency Engineer Salem bin Nasser Al-Aufi said, "The presence of companies at the local and global levels interested in the entire supply chain in the green hydrogen sector at the exhibition accompanying the summit represents a unique opportunity to exchange experiences and learn about the latest technologies and advancements in this sector. We look forward to their direct contributions to the energy transition."

The ceremony will include the unveiling of the first hydrogen-powered car by the German company BMW, in collaboration with the leading Korean car manufacturer Hyundai, which will also reveal a hydrogen fuel-powered truck. Additionally, His Excellency Engineer Salm bin Nasser Al-Aufi will inaugurate Takhzeen Company, a subsidiary of Oman National Engineering and Investment Company (ONIEC).
