The attractive environment of investments in Oman has indeed played a key role for production growth during the past 50 years. A part from PDO, the semi government company, there are tens of international oil companies IOCs whom significantly contributed to increase the number of producing concessions from 4 in 2000 to 10 in 2020.
The growth is excluding exploration volumes, however, having 17 exploration concessions with working EPSA and another more 11 concessions open for investors, Oman expects even higher growth in the production.
Throughout the past 50 years, many big IOCs have and still investing in Oman including; Shell, BP, Total, Occidental, ENI and recently, EOG has joined the league. Nevertheless, Oman is also an attractive spot for joint ventures investments.
